December Circle Challange

Here is my December entry for the Circle Monthly Challange. Also gets to double as a Christmas Present. I bought a wood frame at Michaels, painted it white, covered with some DCWV paper. I cut the phrase and Butterfly from Accent Essentials, I also think the frame around the photo came from here too. I modge podged it all on, added another butterfly my dtr found, some home made and I am roses, that I glimmermisted with Red Velvet. And POOF, a christmas present done. Working on another one that is green. I met the requirements for this challange by using red, and ribbon, minimum of 2 cuts and a phrase. I edited to add revised photo, forgot to place tag in photo.

Paper Roses

I told my grandmother I would make her a gift for her Christmas Party she is attending.  They always do a gift exchange.  I bought 3 different boxes to put this in, and none of them fit, without squishing my roses.  I don't have it pictured but I ended up modge poding paper to a priorty mail box and making my own lid and now I have a box that is to big, but it will work, and I recycled.  Here are the roses, I did remember to glue them down this time.  They are all made from music paper and added some little bows. Think it should be a big hit.   Thanks for looking.

Whimiscal Wednesday Challange

Ok here is my last Challange entry for this weekend.  This challange was posted on http://www.alwayscrafting.com/  The challange was for anything goes.  I am using this adorable digi stamp I bought last week from whimsey doodles.  The snowgirl is so cute.  I also bought the pair of snowcouple holding hands.  My dtr colored that one for her entry for this challange.  See hers at http://www.catscreativeblog.blogspot.com/      So I printed the image and colored with my copics and used some dcwc christmas paper on a 4 x 5.5 in card.  Also cut a snowflake from Noel Cartridge at 3 inches.  Thanks for looking.

2 new challanges

Well I really wanted to work on doing some challanges this weekend. And I hope it is ok, but I combined 2 of the challanges. There challange was to make a snowman from Winter Frolick, unfortunetly I don't have that cartridge, So I used my black friday purchase Jolly Holidays. I added ear muffs so he looked more like the winter frolick snowman. I am submitting this on a new blog called "Flaunt It Fridays" has started and I think this was there first challange. They also had a great blog hop this weekend if you get a chance to look at it.
They are at www.flauntitfridays.blogspot.com

Secondly I have started to subscribe to Cooking with Cricut, Have done one other challange with them, (and my dtr did the last one I did and one a cartridge, YEAH). I have choose layouts with them, figure it is a good way to get some of my loose pictures scrapped. There Challange was "beginning to look like Christmas" they wanted something that commemorated the season. Well I found these pictures of my kids playing in the snow. We were living in Washington State at the time, and they loved it. Thought the new snowmen from Jolly Holidays was perfect for this. Hope you all enjoy.

My snowmen were cut at 3 1/2 and 4 inches.  There arms were very fragile even at this size.  I couldn't cut out layers to hide the faces, so I only cut the one cut and then used stickles to fill in the areas I would have been colored.   Wow I just realized I gave them no buttons on there bellies.  Man I will have to remember to fix.  Oh, well Enjoy.

Peachy Keen "Let's Face It Friday"

Well this is the first time I have entered a Peachy Keen challange.  I am going to try to do one for there Tuesday Challange if I get time tomarrow.  This Challange you had to use a face, Which I used Winter Assortment, (only wintery one I got).  I just punched a 2 in circle and stamped and colored with my copics.  Other Requirment was to use brown paper sack.  Well those things are hard to come by these days of all plastic.  I actually found a Braums sack slid between the cabinet and frig.  After I blue off the dust bunnies, I cut out a tag and also cut up pieces and used my Tim Holtz Alterations Die Cut, Theatered Flowers I believe.  I made these two roses after I glimmer misted them red.  I tried to stamp snowflakes and emboss them but I did not realize that I bought translusent white pearls.  So although it is still neat effect you can't really see the snowflakes well, so I added some snow flake brads.  Look forward to participating in many more challanges with peachy keen.  Hopefully I can win one, so I can have more face stamps.

Crafty Weekend part 2

Next, I was going to buy the new graphic 45 Christmas paper, but wasn't really sure I would use it all. So I opted to just buy the one page with a bunch of tags or whatever they are called. Made a whole series of cards with it. Really liked how they turned out. Most are 5 x7 cards, with exception of a couple. Did add a moose sticker to one, mainly to use up space. He had no face, which I did not like, so thanks to Peachy Keen I gave him a face.

Last and certainly not least. My dear Circle Sister (the scrabooking queen), sent me a package. Lots of good stuff. A whole little bag of charms was so neat, not even sure what to do with them yet. Lots embellishments, which I always love. Even some stuff for my baking biz too, how sweet is that. She even loaned me her Destinations Cartridge, so I could make images for my state notebooks (which aren't getting started until after New Years). I got a package for her to send out also, just can't fit it all in the box, o well may have to send 2.   (OH- Ignore the messy floor, said I was crafting all weekend)

Thanks everyone for looking. Will also be posting my challanges seperately.

Wonderful Crafty Weekend

Well I had the weekend off and managed to do alot of crafting. Working on Christmas cards and gifts. Worked on a couple of challanges that I will make a seperate post about. Hope you enjoy.

First up I bought Twinkle Toes and Inspired Hearts at Walmart for $15.00, could not believe, would have gotten more but my husband wouldn't let me, something about buying food for the kids. (Darn kids, they could go to 1 meal a day). Well I used Inspired Hearts to make a little set of cards, I want to give these to a nice gal who gave my son a ride to the basketball game last week when I had to work. Hopefully I will see her Monday at this weeks game. Really liked how the cards came out, cut most of them at 3 1/2 or 4 inches. They are all on 4 x 5 1/2 cards. Saw the packaging idea on another site (sorry can't remember), but it worked really well and cheaper than buying the clear boxes.

Well I can't seem to get blogger to upload more than 2 pictures- so this will have to be a 2 parter.  Sorry:(
