Scrapper Delight December image

Here are a few projects I worked on with Scrapper Delights images.    Images are available at http://scrappersdelights.com/store/.

I love the options of being able to size digital images.   It makes it so great to use in different types of projects.   I have used the Victorian image in cards and now in a layout.

The first card is made with digi angel and used Tim Holtz paper.  This is a 5 x 7 card.  I colored the image with my copics and used stickles on the wings.   The bottom has a 2 in wide strip of lace that I edged with some mesh bling.   I used a poinsetta flower that I removed the stamens and placed small roses in the middle.  The background of the flower has  a mulberry leaf that I alcohol inked.  I also had some clear glass bead leaves that I alcohol inked as well.  Loved how this worked and fit perfect with my wintery blue them.   I embossed the Merry Christmas and have a great card.
This card is small 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.   Used some misc papers to layer and have my girl pointing out the Merry Christmas sticker.   Used some lace that was actually 3 in wide but has double trim,   used the smaller layer with some gold bling, and was really simple  but classy.

I really love this layout of my dtr.  (the ruffles in back ground is not part of layout, needed the support to keep it upright in stand)  I made the digi image a little bigger and was alble to use her to accent the page.   I misted a piece of ivory lace so that it would have pink tones.   Placed the gold bow with its trim across with just enough pink mesh to bling it up.   Used some roses and more bling flourishes to bring lots of shimmer to my page.  My dtr just loves pink and bling, so this page will be perfect in her scrapbook.   I just love the little extras that make pages so special and will be fun to look at down the road.

Here is a video also I posted about these projects and my orniment I made.  Gave to receipent before I got the picture taken.  :( sorry.

November swap items

As I am trying to catch up on post,  I now want to show you my November swap items.   I made some flowers that are christmas inspired for the flower swap.  I use the tim holtz die to mount cards on each side.  One side has fabric lollie flowers.  The red lollie I place on a circle that I placed lace on the outer edge,  this made one large flower, but I love it.  Then made a rosette and a tatterd flower from tim holtz.  i sprayed the tatterd flower with lindys then crinkled up in my hand then opened and layered on each other.
My journal spots were made with my cricut and blitzen paper from bo bunny.

Of course I am loving my christmas tilda images, so fun to color.  Large poinsetta is something I found at micheals in christmas section.

YPP October swaps

I know I am a little late posting this, but better late than never.   I participated in a couple swaps at http://yourpaperpantry.ning.com/

I made three cards for the greeting card swap.  The first card was an angle that I painted with my mica powders from lindy stamp gang. The stamp is my emma at mycreativetime.com

Second card was colored with copics and a wooden dollar stamp from micheals.

Last card is my favorite magnolia tilda, and another cut out and greeting from my creative time.

The post cards are made with botanitical paper from graphic 45.  Used crackel accents on the fish.  Lots of Lindys to all glimmer to all my cards and of course my favorite creative time with emma sayings.
thank you all for looking and following.

Scrapper's Delight digital images

I came across this website not to long ago.  The digital images are great and more realistic looking verses the "cutsy"  look by most images.   I have nothing against my cutsy images,  I have plenty,  but these realastic images make for  a nice change and are so fun to color up.  Lots of space for shadding.   The Santa  I sized about 3 inches wide, but the girls were aprox 2 1/2 in wide.   Although I did not use it this time, the images have an outlined shadow line, that helps when fussy cutting.

The girls are 5 x 7 and Santa is 5 x 5 cards.  Also included the video I made.    Thanks for coming buy.

I hope you guys will go visit,  really are great images at great prices.  http://scrappersdelights.com/store/

Looking for Suggestions

Well I have been blogging for almost a year, and finally got above 100 subs.  I am so excited to have that, so don't get me wrong.   I post some things that I think are pretty good, but get no or only a couple comments.   I try to participate in challanges and that seems to help at times.   I am very open to any suggestions on what I can do as to get more people to comment and visit my pages.   I can't seem to figure blogger out for stats.   It will say I have only had a couple hits on things I know had more because people did actually comment.   I am not looking for 50 comments or anything, just would like to know that people think I do an ok job at times.   Sorry maybe whinning isn't the best thing to do, but I am really looking for ways to improve my blog.

Pin Cushion

Swaps have started up again at http://scrappyhappiness.ning.com/   so I had to join in.   I made this pin cushion for my Buddy Laura.   I got a jar over at Walmart, figuring she could use it to store stuff as well as pins.   I just glued some batting covered with fabric to the top part of the jar.  Used some bling, trim and Iamroses to finish it off.   Just started making pins, so still needing some practice.  This was Laura's  first swap, and she seem to enjoy.  Hope you enjoy.

This was the birthday card I made my mommy,  (she got a boat motor for her birthday, so thought it was appropriate)

Halloween Cards

For the last couple of years I have made cards for my friend Susanna to give to her kids.  So here are the Halloween cards I made for her this year.   I really have gotten into my stamps and coloring.  She was happy with them and I hope her kids like them as much as the treats she sends.

I was so happy to see greeting farm had posted this digi.  She is just PURRFECT.   My dtr CAT   likes her even more.   Growing in my coloring with copics.  Used some paper from DCWV and bling.   I also used my Lindy's sprays to give it all a shine.

These three images are from All That Scraps.  I love CC designs works a they sell both the digi and the actual stamps there.   Used some more DCWV paper.

Thanks for looking.

My Creative Time design team call

Emma at www.creativetimeforme.com  is having a design team call.  This would be a dream come true for any papercrafter.  She has a wonderful line of stamps and dies for cards, layouts, or any other thing you can put your mind too.   We were asked  to make one project special for this call.   Well lately I have been on a kick and have been using her stamps for all my holiday crafting.   SO I of course had to made a card with my adorable Magnolia image, but then had an idea later for a scrapbook layout of my son's most recent picture he sent home.   So she may fault me for not following directions,   but I am showing 2 projects here.   I made a video just incase you would like more detail.   Thanks for looking, and Emma thanks for the chance of a lifetime,   I love to follow you and will continue to love your stamps.

Layouts for a couple Sat crops at LSH

I love spending my Sat night (when I am not working)  at http://alilscrapofheaven.ning.com/   they do a virtual crop thru tiny chat.   Got me a web came and love it.   So much fun to see and talk to the gals from all over.   They usually have a layout challange.   This is perfect for it gives me the chance to catch up on some photos.   Going to have to start doing digital scrapbooking for my oldest though, he sends me so many pictures I can't keep up.   He just went to Greece, and I am no where caught up with Bahrain.  (good thing he is there for 18 months, I will have a chance.)   So one page was done for his book and the other is some old photos of my dtr and hubby.  There was an added bonus to make cards with the left over from the layout, so my dtr and I made some cards for Brad to welcome him to Greece. If I didn't have that silly job (or 2 jobs)  to go to,  I might have a chance of getting caught up.   Oh well, had fun with these.

Altered Headband

I have been watching cynthialoohoo from http://alilscrapofheaven.ning.com/   She recently was altering headbands.   I won some flowers on the blog hop at lil scrap of heaven and it came with this great big pink rose.   Well I knew what I had to do with it.   My dtr is modeling for me and I will never get it back again.   hehehe   She loved it.    It was easy to do,  just found a headband at Walmart in the ribbon area.   Wrapped some ribbon around the band and hot glued on some flowers and jewels.  Used some trims from Karlas001.   I think my dtr was worth my last bit of these big bling.   Enjoy!!

Altered Birdhouse

I am so sorry for neglecting my poor blog, been a crazy month.   Have alot of projects planned for the holiday season, but going to catch up on some older ones I forgot to post about.    Here is a 1.00 birdhouse from Micheals.  My hubby drilled a hole for me, so I could put some twine thru to make an orniment out of it.   Added some I am Roses  (don't tell but I just ordered 100.00 more of flowers),  a couple little birds and TADA!!  Birthday present for a coworker.   Hope she likes it.     I used some crackel medium,  I think I might have gotten the hang of it down, because it actually turned out right this time.   Really like it.

Hello Kitty

Good Saturday to you all.   I thought I would share something different today.  I made a cake for a friend using my Hello Kitty cartridge.    I dried the pieces out so that it would stand upright.   Everyone loved it and I didn't get to see the birthday girl, but Grandma assures me she will love it.   Also was a great opportunity to use up some more of my bright flowers.

fall mini

I made a fall mini album for a swap on http://alilscrapofheaven.ning.com/   I even made a box for the mini to be placed in.  Watched a tutorial on you tube, I wish I had saved the video.   This really makes placing your mini on a shelf without getting messed up.   Used the Autumn paper from DCWV.  used 6 x 6 pieces of black chipboard, then glued sationary envelops for additional pockets.  Made some acetate cut outs that I colored with alchol in and copic markers.   Really happy with how this mini turned out.

Michelle Birthday Present

So I already posted the video for this project and want to also place on my blog.   This was based on Birdhouse Mini by Laura at http://www.followthepapertrailwithlaura.com/    I decided to use Maraposa and Butterfly garden paper.  Also used a bunch of butterflies I got in a swap.   Lots of room in this mini for photos.
