Peachy Keen Sketch Challange

Well I wanted to do a layout page for the challange, since I am working on my son's scrapbook.  But just couldn't figure it out.  Besides not sure he would appreciate all the pink/red.  So I made a card instead.  It also gave me another excuse to use my new stamps from Emma at My Creative Time.   Just love her new stamps and esp love that she packages them in a cd case.  I already package mine that way, and it saves me having to change over.  Great thinking on her part.   So the challange on     http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/peachy-keen-stamps-sketch-challenge-44.html              was to follow the sketch and use monocromatic colors.  Well I consider pink and red in the same family, hope they do to.   So here is the card I made.  Still using papers from last year, I think it is just loose paper from hobby lobby.  I really want the bo bunny valentine, but just haven't found it yet.  May be using it next year.  Oh, and of course I had to use my Peachy Keen Faces, they are so cute!!!  Hope you all enjoy.  (will be posting scrapbook layout later, had to work on that book, I am to far behind.)

Peachy Keen Lets Face Friday Entry

Well I was so thrilled on Friday I got My Creative Time  Stamps.  I could only get one, so I thought I would start with "You Had Me At Chocolate".  You can find them at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/.  I was making a card to go into the Peachy Keen Face Challange at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/lets-face-it-friday-xs-and-os.html

I used my Dolly Dumpling stamp set to make a face in my heart.  She looks so cute.   Used some papers I had left over from last year.  Hope you all enjoy.   Thanks for looking.

Tacky Tuesday Challange

Well I had my peachy faces out and was in a card making mood the other day.  Saw this cute wale and remember my pink stamper had a stamp for just the occassion.  So there it all came together pretty quick.  I tried to use UTEE to make the spout a little more water like, it worked but my versa mark pen did not work so well, will have to stick to the real pad.  Thought it was cute card for my stash.  Now I just need to organize my stash of cards.   Enjoy.  Whale came from Create a Critter of course!!, cut at 3 in, on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in card.  Paper was something I picked up at the local Scrapbook store on clearance.  Worked great for this.

Sketch Challange

I think I like sketch challanges.  Sometimes I just feel stumped on how to lay something out and they can be very helpful in getting the creative juices flowing.  This week was a sketch on Peachy Keen Challanges.  I had seen someone using there Happy Birthday Embossing Folder for another projet and totally forgot I have that.  So this was a good opportunity to use it. I also sanded down the embossed image a little to have it stand out.  Also used some left over balloons I had cut for another project.  This is a good card to have around for the birthday I forget about.  Hope you enjoy.

Face it Friday Challange

I was in need of a Thank You Card this week.  So this was perfect challange for me.  I love all my Peachy Keen Face (which is not enough).  Love Creative Critters so much.  So this is my take on the ever popular sheep.  They are topped of with Peachy Keen of course, but the sentiment from My Pink Stamper, just really adds to it.  And the icing on the cake was, my Action Wobbles.   She was so cute when she was dancing.  My kids did not think I was nearly as cute, when I demonstrated the wobble.  (ok, they are 11 & 13, mom dancing doesn't impress them anytime.  Anyhoo, my sheep is just to gone darn cute!!!  I love her.  Please enjoy.

Circle Weekly Challange 16

For this Weeks Challange on the Cricut Circle Blog It was titled "Cute as a Button".   They are having a baby theme.  Well my oldest "baby" is off in the Middle East.  I having been trying to keep a scrapbook for him since joining the Navy.  So when he was visiting this summer, I "stole" the photos off his laptop. When he first got to Bahrain, he was playing in the water alot.  Here he is playing with dolphins and went jet skying.  Even had a bar in the pool.  (We don't have that  in Kansas!)
So the requirements for this challange was to follow the sketch in the blog, use 2 cricut cuts, use stamping and buttons.  Well the I did 2 pages for this group of photos.  I used my cricut for the font, and wave boarders.  I had cut out a coconut drink, but it just didn't fit later, so will use someother time.  I used buttons to accent my buttons.  I didn't really have any stamps that went so well.  But I love this sun by peachy keen stamps, so I could fit him in here easily.  I hope some day my son can appreciate the time I am spending on his book.  It is looking so different from when I started with no idea of what I was doing.   I like these sketch layouts alot, is really helpful.   I have a couple more days off work, so hope to squeeze some more crafting in.  We are hitting school hard tommarrow, so keeping my fingers crossed.

January Circle Monthly Challange

Ok for January's Monthly Circle Challange was to Scraplift from ideas on the Circle Blog thus far.  Well I decided to make a banner for my dtr room.  There was so many great banners this fall and christmas on the blog.  Also using those pretty rosettes. I used my a scallop boarder  from cake basics cartridge to cut out strips to make my rosettes.  I think I used Gyspsy Font for my letters.  I used cosmo cricut, bazzill paper and  tattered angles pearl glimmer mist over all of it when i was done to give it some shine.  I will posting my weekly challange also.  Hope your weekend was crafty!!!

KinderStampO January Tag

Ok in my effort to participate in more papercrafting challanges, I decided to join my first tag swap.  Decide to join http://www.kinderstampo.com/2011/01/january-tag-swap-challenge.html . Now I have never done a tag swap and wasn't sure what all to do, so still learning here.  Would love any suggestions too.  She is celebrating her birthday this month so the tag was having a guest the "Peachy Queen" herself.  So of course I love my peachy stamps and had to use them.  Plus I am Shana Sweets Or "Mrs Sweets" to those at work.  So I have to have a cupcake.  So here is my tag, I made 35 of these, which didn't seem so bad till I started doing, then man it was alot.   Hope they enjoy and can't wait to see what I get back.  Happy Birthday Jess and thanks for letting me participate.

Shana Journal and Throwback Thursday

Ok, for the New Year, I have told myself I would do more on my blog and participate in more challanges.  Well Life seems to be the Challange at times.  I have managed to do a couple things.  I decided for Emma's throwback challange on http://www.creativetimeforme.com/  to create a journal of sortes for myself.  I have just pretty much done the cover.  Used Twinkle Toes for the Top Note shape for all the album pages.  The cover and 12 pages inside are covered chipboard.  Then I have white pages to write on inside each "month" page inside.  Haven't quite figured out what I will put in there, but felt the year I turn 40  should be marked some how.  I used Walk in My Garden for the Butterfly, and Storybook for the Lettering.  I used my new favorite paper Graphic 45 Once in A Springtime.  It is great and beautiful paper.   Hope you can find some inspiration.

Christmas Gifts

Hello ALL,

Hope the Holidays were good for everyone.  I am playing catch up on some files.  Just wanted to post a couple Christmas Presents I made.  I got the idea from mybutterflykisses.  This came together pretty quick and loved it.  I superglued the picture hanger on the back and it came off.  I had put these in my car the night before, so not sure if it was the freezing time or what.  My  dad says I need to "scuff" the edges you are gluing together first.  Not sure, have to try that next time.  Heres my Charger Plates, picked up some more on clearance at Walmart.
