Present for my Grandma, thanks to Karlee Krafts

I put out a shout to Karlee to figure out how she made the card holder/ wall hanging she my her BFF, seen on My Pink stamper.   She was so sweet to respond and send me to the video she made.  So I pulled some fabric I bought 4 years ago on clearance to make a gift for my grandmother.   She was complaining about not having enough space on her desk for the cards the kids and I make for her.  Elvis is her favorite, so I hope she likes it.    The only thing I did different was I used 2- 1/4in pieces of foam core together instead of buying a cork board.   I love it and going to make some more for gifts.

PS:  easy to make
cover foam core with batting, tak down in back with staple gun
cover batting with material and tak down in back
then just pulled ribbon around front in diagnal motion.  did right to left, then when doing left to right, I fed it over and under previous ribbon.   very easy and only took and 1/2 hour.

June Journal Spots for YPP

I have joined the journal spots group at Your Paper Pantry. ning   and I love it.    Can't wait for each month.   This month was using Kitsy kitchen from Melissa Francis.   I really liked the paper, that I had to buy another pad of it.   I did my 3 spots, but then wanted to do something with my cricut, so I cut out an apron that can be another spot or decor.  Also cut out and sent some extras.   Hope everyone likes them, can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  Extra thanks to Roxy for taking the time to do these swaps.

Father's Day Gift Frame

Well, had a hard time deciding what to make my dad for dads day.  I made him a scrap album recently for a birthday, so did not want to do that again.   I had wonderful Tattered Time paper by DCWV, and lots of gears from Tim Holtz, but what to do with it.   Well decided to alter a frame for him to put on his tool box at work.   Took photo from last summer and put magnets on the back of the dollar frame , some paper, I also tried the clear crackle stuff from ranger.   I really couldn't see the crackle well, not sure about that, will have to find the Tim video and watch again.  Loved the frame though.   Hope you like.

peachy keen sketch challange

Was working some greeting cards for a swap and since I was going to use this cute sheep, I knee I had to get my peachy keen stamps out.   YEAH!   Like I need an excuse.   The critter stamp set is just the greatest and very versitile.    I have the medium set and it has worked well for me on multiple different sizes.
I cut the image from my create a critter cartridge at 4 inches.   I used regular white cardstock and ran it thru my cuttlebug, then I sprayed my pearl perfect pearls spray to give it a shiny look.   Love the card, the sentiment is from My Pink stamper. Paper is from an American Girl paper pad.   A2 size card.    Look forward to seeing everyones ideas.   Join us at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/06/peachy-keen-stamps-sketch-challenge-54.html

Love your comments, thanks for looking.

charmfuldelights swap and apology

Well happy June everyone, I must first apologize for posting recently.   after I learned I could make post scheduled for future posting, I thought I had it made.   But what can life just gets in the way.  Haven't been able to craft as much but have done a few things.   I love my you tube watching, haven't broke down to actual video recording.   Well see maybe for my birthday I will get a web cam.  There is a you tuber charmfuldelights, she is very sweet gal from Oklahoma.  She makes these clay pieces from molds.  I have been wanting some cameos, so I contacted her about a swap.  I sent her some tattered time paper and flowers.  Well she sent me WAY MORE pieces than I expected.   And can I say, she packaged way so safely. Each piece was wrapped very carefully in tissue paper, post office was not breaking this stuff.  I have some photos of the extras she sent too, so super sweet.   Can't wait until I have some time off to play with these.   So if anyone needs some of these pieces, and like me don't want to figure out how to do it, give her a call.  Thanks for keeping up with me and hopefully will get some time to craft.
