Playing with My Style Stamps

So I finally got to dig out My Style Stamps.   I absolutely fell in love with these adorable girls when they came out and have been so caught up in other things I almost forgot about them.  Well coming back from Hawaii reminded me that this great little Hula Girl would be the perfect addition to start my Mini Album.  I plan on making 2 albums for myself and my mom.  Not exactly sure how my album is going to be quite yet, but I did decide I want it to fit into a 7 x 7 in box I bought.  So I have made the cover below.   I Have started the cover with so me DCWV  Paper,  Retro Collage.  Did some fussy cutting and used some stickers, some flowers and shells  to finish off  the cover.

This A2 size card is made with Prima Paper Pad called Fairy Flora.   This little girl is from My Style Stamps Beach Bum Set.  I colored her with my Copics.    Used Spellbinders oval and oval scallops,  made my own banner.  The "Hello Friend" is from the Aloha set above.     Layered papers on the inside to decorate.

For this card,  I made 5 x7  card  using paper from DCWV  Labella Rouge Stack and purple cardstock.  Used my copics to color the little girl where I did not paper piece her dress.    The Happy days is a sentiment that comes along with the Sock Hop stamp set from My Style stamps.   The label die and layer are from My Creative Time,  along with the Birthday Wishes Sentiment inside.    I made with envelope with the envelope maker.

Here is a link to My Style Stamps for these great images.

Aren't These Birds Just Too Cute!

These cute little birds are just too cute, and just perfect for when you need to make a couple quick cards.   I needed a thank you card and didn't have alot of time.  So Birds and Houses comes with several great little images.    The first card was a 5 x 7 black card stock.  Used DCWV paperstack.  I left aprox 1/16 edge for the first layer of paper.  The floral paper I cut to 5 x 6.75, the size indicated by the Martha Stewart punch around the page indicated and used the Holly punch.  It left just enough for a great layer.  Used sizzix stamp and die for the thanks so much sentiment.  Some little sticker holly sprigs I had with a touch of ribbon.  The inside  I layered some more paper made a pocket for the label paper inside, for me to write a note inside.

This 5 x 7 card  with this beautiful birds feeding there babies was the perfect image for a sympathy card I needed for a coworker whos mother passed away.  I layered again on black paper. I used dies and sentiments  from my creative time on the outside and inside of the card.  I used doily and flowers to accent the front of the card.  You get so many great images in this one file, that I used another on the inside of the card, on top of a martha stewart doily.

Hair Bow Secrets for Creative Time Die

Hey everyone,  I made a quick video of the Hair bows I have made using this super die from Emma.  I have a couple tricks for using it with the the craft felt.  I know you should and I stress should use felt with wool.  But lets face it wool is solid colors, no fun prints,  so for the most part I have found some ways to use it.  So this blog is super short, my video is about 10 mins,  so give it a quick watch.   Thanks Shana
Make sure to get this great die at Emma's shop,  no one else has bows like this.

Sympathy Card for a Coworker

Not sure I like making sympathy cards, but I guess they are a fact of life.   I have been wanting to try making one of these cards. Not sure of there name but I love the look.   I have seen a couple videos in the past and went off my memory so I think I did correctly.   I cut all my pieces out first so that I liked all the layers together first.  Then I placed all the white pieces on top of each other and stamped 3 different flower stamps from Flower Doodle by Sizzix and Stephanie Benard.  I then taped all the white layers to the matching layers of gray shimmer paper by DCWV.  After this I matched each layer up so that the images lined up with the layer prior.  This stamp set came with a die set so I stamped and cut out a flower in some pink paper to layer on the front of the card.  The sentiment in the middle comes from a sentiment set from Stephanie Benard's Stamps of Life.  I used the same paper to layer on the inside and used a prayer verse from Stephanie Benard's Stamps of Life set for the inside of the card.   I am really happy I bought these sets this week, perfect timing I guess.  Thanks for looking.

My last round of Christmas Cards with LBBS

Ok,  well I think I am done with making Christmas Cards.  Well at least I hope so.  I also tried a new color medium,  Color Pencils.  I decided that I would make use of my time of air travel and invested in some color pencils.   I had alot of fun coloring up these images, and I am not giving up my copics, but the pencils, do give a nice soft look, still need some practice, but happy with how the images turned out and love how they turned into cards.

My first card uses Victorian Dress form image,   I used City Sidewalks Paperline to make a 5 x 7in card.  Used spellbinders to cut the image out and layer on papers from the pack.  Some statin ribbin  to top it off.  The inside I used one of the sentiments provided with the Christmas Sentiments.  You get alot of different sentiments in that file to choose from.

Charlie the ELf is so precious on this 5 x 7in card.   She is ready to have fun this Christmas.   I used one of my trees from the tutorial from last months November event.   Also used the City Sidewalks paper.  Used a variety of dies from My Creative Time to layer the papers and a couple extra embelishments.  Again on the inside I used some more of the great Sentiments.  I really love how the variety of sentiments work for the outside and inside of the cards.

Miss Lilly Holiday is just ready to celebrate.   This is a 6 x 6 easel card using graphic 45 paper from last year.  Using some holy trim and fun bow die from Creative time, along with spellbinders.  This Sentiment finishes off the bottom of the card for great display.   I used some snow writer t o make her hat fluffy with some glitter to make it sparkle,   little pom poms for the added puff.
If I liked the cold,  then I would want to be this beautiful girl.  Ragdoll Sweetheart skating  is super fun and I of course had to a sparkly card.   6 x 6 in card.  Used the sentiments on both the inside and outside of the card.  MFT dies for the swirl and banner.  Spellbinder dies for the rest.

Hope you will visit for some great images for those last minute christmas  images.  Also starting 12.18.13  there is a sale going on!!!!

Getting Creative with My Creative Time

So when I head of the opportunity to create projects for My Creative Time Design Team, I thought what the Heck.  Emma is a fabulous designer and these are one of my favorite products.  So I got busy and got to play also.  So here are a few little things I came up with.   I absolutely love the different stamps and dies that you can get.   There is such a variety from sentiments to images. You can visit her at

My first project is this paper mache box that I covered.  I first painted the box with black acrylic paint.  Cut my paper in the sizes just shy the size of the box top and sides.   I then stamp the hexagon background stamp in memento london fog ink to this pokadot shimmer paper from DCWV ,  and on the sides I used the chevron stamps in london fog for the thick chevron and then black ink for the thin line down the center.  Love how I could alter this paper and make the back ground different.  I used some different dies from My Creative time, mostly from Fly Away With Me,  for the balloons, clouds and plane.  Used the coordinating stamps to make a little scene.  Of course had to use the cute little kidos to look like they are waving to the balloons and plane.   I colored them in with colored pencils.   I used some balsa wood to make a little window with the Just Simply Live Die and used the tab die to attach at the top to pull out the little picture.  The clouds are both paper and felt to add texture.    I accented the box with some rhinestones and little hexagon die cutouts for added color down the sides.      More close up detail in the video below.

This cute little birthday card is using the cute little Birthday Buddies Stamp set  and uses the   Let's Celebrate Stamp and Die Set, also the XL Stiched label and layering label die.   This is an A2 sized card.

These cute Little tags are using the Tag Dies, that I centered around some images on Christmas paper that I liked.  I used the Bow Die and jingle bells to accent the top.  Used All around Holiday Stamp and bell die to accent.  The snow man is colored with copics and is  from Peachy Keen Stamps.

This Layout is some pictures I took of my mom and I going thru the airports on the way to Hawaii to my Son's wedding.   I can't really have bulkiness in my scrapbook, but can't not have flowers in a layout for Hawaii.  Plus Emma has such great flower dies,  I have used two flower dies, both Flower Petal die and Rolled flower die.   But on the Rolled flower die,  I left it flat and made Leis' out of them.   I also have used the stitched layering die again with Whimiscal Calender stamp.  I also used the Journaling stamp and placed the tab die on top, on the back I used the postage die to cut out a portion of travel guide from our trip.  I love how I could save this little portion of our travels.

My Last Card is a Get Well card.  Using the Umbrella and Stitched Boots Dies.  I also uses I am Here for You Rain or Shine for the puddle and both sentiments inside and out.  Also used the Oval stitched Die.

Well I hope you stuck with me,  I had lots of fun playing and have  a video below with closer up view of all my projects.  I look forward to Emma's release every time.  If I made her design team it would be a dream come true, but if not, I will continue to have fun playing!!!

My next card is a 6 x 6in card.  I love this vintage dress form titled Leave your wings  is also available in rubber and digi.  I am using the digi form.  Colored with my digi and spica markers.   I have also used a variety of papers  that I printed on velium.    I just love how this card came together.  I even dyed some seambinding .

Hope you have been enjoying all the great ideas and images that we have all gotten to view this week.  Thanks to Olga for coming up with such great Ideas.  For my image this day, my young girl just seemed to me to need a tree.  We all love to trim the tree at Christmas.  This adorable image RDS Tree Decorations is just ready to accent the holiday season.   She is perfect to sit in front of a tree.  So in my card below I have placed her in from of a chipboard tree that have painted with a crackled technique.  I am including a video on how to do this technique with some Elmer's glue.   I have colored this image with my Copics and Paper pieced her sweater, because she just screamed "christmas sweater" to me!  I hope you will check out the video also, for more detail and learn how to make this cute flocked Christmas tree.

Simple but Cute Cards with Little Blue Button Stamps

So this month for my first post with Little blue button I made some super quick and simple cards.  Both cards are 5 x 5 square cards using images released this month along with some papers .  The first card uses the cute little image  Miss Lilly Fairy image   she just looks so delightful dreaming. Well as I type this I don't see the paper on the site, I might have jumped the gun on the paper, so consider this a sneaky peak.  But this paper is so super cute and fit so perfect for this little fairy to be dreaming in.  added some extra bling for the perfect accent.  I printed the paper on beige cardstock and the chicken wire accented the inside so I could still write a note inside.

For my second card I colored this fun little girl for the perfect celebration. I love this little image  Sally  I fussy cut around her for some white accent.  I used my copics  and colored it solid and then used the colorless blender to add spots to her dress.   I then mixed some other dotted paper for fun filled birthday card.

I hope you will visit   for some great images and papers.   Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Cards Too Cute To Spook with Little Blue Button Stamps

I don't make to many Halloween cards, but this year it was hard not to, because Miss Olga,  designed such cute images you just had to.   She even designed such beautiful papers it was just to easy to make quick cards.  Now I just have to figure out who I am going to send cards to.

First card was a freebee this month and the first "guy" Olga has designed.  This Vampire is just so quick and easy to color,   I just loved him up against these lovely soft papers.  The bats were just perfect!  Colored him with my copics, using grey,  I used my blender marker to try to give his face a "whitish" marble like look,  can't really tell from the picture or video but I like the way it looks in person .   It is a standard A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in card.   I used the sentiments from the Halloween sentiments Olga came out with this month also,  I print my sentiments out on white paper and then use my copic to color them.  Did some layering on the inside to and it makes the perfect card!

My next card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 in square and DCWV papers,  with this great little mouse image.  She is just to cute to spook!  I just think she is ready to hit the road.   I just loved this sentiment and actually picked it first and then found the papers to match.   I just got this bow die and had to try it out so cut multiple layers of tulle to make this bow,  you can see better in the video.  Colored this little lady with my copics of course,  loved all this sentiments that come on the sheet such a great variety.

Hope you will visit the Little Blue button Blog and Shop at and

Couple Birthday Cards Using Little Blue Button

The new images this month from Little Blue Button are just beyond cute and very versatile.   You can dress them up for Halloween or do what I did and use them for Birthday cards.  I hope you will visit  and

Up first is a card I made for my mom.  My mom's birthday is in October and I don't usually do a halloween theme, but I just loved the new digi papers Olga came out with and used them to paper piece this cute little image.  The little baby in the ghost costume was so cute I had to include him also.  I love the soft oranges , so I colored some white bling orange with my copics.  The orange felt flower was a gift and I added some yellow loops for color.  The card was 6 x 6 with some purple velum.   To totally accent and help pop the card is the great Font in this Birthday Sentiment available on the Little Blue Button Site.  Olga has alot more than just images.
Here is a video with some more close up description of the card.
Next is this Georgeous little Princess Image.   I totally did up this Pretty in Pink card for a new friend in a birthday card group for next month.  If she is watching this video she might know who she is, hehe.  I loved practiicing some coloring with shading in his dress.  Still trying to get the fold thing down, but do live the layers of hair, it really lets you get different shades in there.  Used some new trims, flowers, and clay butterfly my friend Teresa gave me last month.  And again a GREAT BIRTHDAY sentiment from Olga.  You get so many great sentiments on this one sheet to print over and over again.   I have printed in white and then used my copics to color also, so you can have any color you want without wasting paper.

Here is the video of this card.
Thanks for checking out my cards,  I hope you will check out these great images!!!!!!!

My Favorite Card using Little Blue Button Stamps

Well it is not very often that you get a card for your son.  Now I know that my son will probably careless, but I love the card and he better keep it, or hopefully at least my soon to be dtr in law will.  Olga  has such nice wedding images for the release in September, and although you have probably seen most of them if you follow her blog,  this is my version.   My son and his girlfriend are both in the Navy so no surprise there theme is Anchors and Navy Blue/Yellow.  I have been collecting all things anchors and used some of it to make this card.  I colored the image with my copics,  trying my hand and reddish blonde hair.
Digi images are available here:  digi:

Now for my second card,  I was feeling in the mood for fall and wanted to do some paper piecing.  And if you are new to paper piecing Olga's rubber stamps are perfect!  So easy to cut out. I used some fall papers from DCWV.   I used Rag Doll with Heart Purse, which is distrubted thru CC Designs here :  rubber:
I have a video for up close details.

YEAH! My First DT Post for LBBS

So,  Hi to ALL,  this is my first time to post as a new member of the Little Blue Button Stamps Design Team.  I am so excited by having this opportunity.   You might have already seen a couple of my projects for the Hello Eris blog hop and Shape Challenge.  But today I have 2 cards to showcase other images released this month.   First I made a birthday card for a fellow youtuber,  who loved burlap and purple.   I also love making flip it cards and this little image was so perfect because she is lean and fit perfect into the side panel of this card.  I also got to try out the new Burlap paper by DCWV.   This cute little image can be bought here:

My next project came by accident.  I wanted to print the beautiful new papers,  and I thought it would be cool to print on velum.  Thing was I didn't realize that it default was on grey scale.   So this printed on grey scale on the velum,  I actually loved it!!!  So I decided it would be perfect to color an image in grey scale.  This little lady went with the paper so well.   I placed the velum sheet over some embossed cardstock.  Watch the video to here more on how I embossed the clocks underneath the velum. In the video I show you some of the paper and copies printed on velum, but trust me unless you have it in your hands you just can't appreciate its beauty.

craftindesertdivas guest design project

I was thrilled to be asked by Tara to participate in her linky party over at   I am real lucky that I also get to choose anything to do.   Well I love my image stamps and I love to color,  so this was easy.   I love this Magnolia image and made her into a card to give to a fellow Magnolia lover.  Paper is from DCWV  Magnolia Stack.  (Seemed appropriate)  The Butterflies are diecuts from the same stack.  I used spellbinder dies and the stamp was from Just right, to go along with those dies. I winged the bow by just making loops.  Still trying to figure out how to make bows.

I hope you will come join us over at the linky party,  there are alot of great designers with all sorts of projects.

First of my 3 images for Progressive Challenge

You know how sometimes you just stumble across something and you knew it was ment for you.  Well I did,  not sure where I saw it now but some one had posted this image and the challenge at
If you participate you get each of these images for for free.  Well anyone who follows me should know by now,  I  AM A NAVY MOM!   So I collect all things NAVY and most things patriotic,  so I just had to participate.  Although you know she put the sailor as the last image,  thats ok I need all three anyway.   So you start with the first image made a project then you get the next one free and so on.   So here is my first card.  Left off the sentiment for now.  Was thinking about putting "thinking of you or missing you"  not sure,   I have a friend with a son in the Air Force,  so definatly make the next card for her.    This is a great opportunity for me to use my overflowing bin of patriotic papers.    ENJOY!

Happy Birthday Card

I know you thinking,  man you have used awful lot of cute images,  but I couldn't help it,  I found this site on Saturday and used my free time this weekend and made three different cards,  so I could participate in her challenge,   which hopefully will be a weekly thing,  now that I found her.   Her images are just too cute,  cant help but want to color, and they are so great for practicing your copic coloring.   I have a photo below of my little girl for a birthday card,  then a video shows all three cards up close.  Hope you will show Alicia some love.

My Dtr new favorite Image

Well,  if you saw my previous post, you know I found   and her images are just the cutest.  Well my dtr loves all things ballet.  So this was a must have.  And the great thing about digital is today I made a card,  but next week I can blow it up and make a layout.  Had to use my favorite color combo on this though,  purple and pink. We were suppose to use our favorite papers for her challenge,  well any purple paper is my favorite, so that isn't hard.    That bunny is so cute, you just want to pinch its cheeks.    Hope you will check out the other great images.
