Designer Challenge at My Creative Time

Last Thursday, Emma posted the Designer Challenge.  You could use the photo for inspiration or use the colors.  I decided to combine both and make a scrapbook layout for my soon to be grandson's scrapbook.  I am using any excuse to get layout pages done for this book and could use the inspiration.  This was the perfect inspiration also since they live in San Diego.  I know there will be lots of water photos.

This is a 12 x 12 layout.  All the images and dies are using My Creative Time.  I used some distress ink to watercolor the photo mats.  I also used fun foam to give dimension to my letters, I just cut them out and used xyron to both the fun foam and letters and then taped the letters on top of the fun foam and then tape the letters down to the page.   I fussy cut the animals, boats and plants out after stamping them.

Supplies used:
Dies: lowercase alphabet dies                           Stamp set: Lost at Sea and Surf's up
                      4 x 4 journaling dies
Ink:  Memento: Tanego, bamboo leaves, summer sky,   Hero Arts: London fog
Distress Ink:tumble glass, salty ocean, broken china with homemade glimmermist

Prima Doll Birthday Card with My Creative Time

I was working on a birthday card for a swap and I just absolutely love this card. I made three of these  cards. These are 5x7 cards on a light pink cardstock base. I paperpieced my primadoll after stamping her on the skintone paper.  I pulled out my Dies from MY CREATIVE TIME and got busy.  I used the party banners, cutting them apart and stamping birthday on them , then used the Party in 2 different colors but decided to lay the letters back in for inlay appearance.  I love the stitching on the 4 x 6 rectangle and this wavy circle is so much more fun than regular scallops.  It just makes my Prima Doll all ready to go to a Party!  The sentiment stamps are also from MY CREATIVE TIME.

My Style Stamp Puppy and Wally Layouts

I am so excited to get started working on the baby album for my son and daugher in law.  They are having my first grandchild and this book is so special for me to make for them.  I want to make a book so all my dtr has to do is place the pictures.  I want this book to be fun and entertaininig for years to come.  These are the first 2 pages I have done and they are perfect for what I want.  When I bought these stamps I had no idea that I was going to be a grandma,  but when I found out I knew I was going to pull them out and use them in my book.  I do have the monkey stamp and have plans for him too,  just haven't got done with him yet.  My Style Stamps has such a variety of stamps and I just loved it when she came out with these fun loven animals.   Both my son and dtr in law are in the Navy so Walley was just perfect with his Nautical extras in the stamp set.   I used my copics to color but also used some paper pieceing and copics to add shading to Walley some character.  I just love how the images give the layouts extra love and fun.  The puppies are just to adorable and cheerful with there balloons,  they can celebrate any occasion, not only birthdays.

Here is my video if you are interested in closer view,  I bought the stamps at also if you would like to take a peek,  she has a ton of embellishments also if interested.

Aloha Easel Card

I just love this little lady from My Style Stamps.  She was one of the first stamps I bought and still my favorite.  I knew when I let Tatiana pick the colors for the flowers she made me, she would do an ausume job.  These were perfect for this image.  I pulled out my Bohemian paper from Graphic 45 to make this 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 easel card.  I layered my Aloha Image girl colored with my copies,  on spellbinder dies.  My green layer is stamped with with Lots of Love Boarders from My Style Stamps.  I white embossed the arrows.  I used flowers, doiles, butterfly and bird from Tatiana, to accent my image.  The sentiment comes from from the Aloha stamp set.  Bling is from various Recollections from Micheals.

Sympathy Card using My Creative Time

I wanted to make a Sympathy card for a youtube friend who mother passed away.   I have a great set of Inspirational Words from My Creative Time.  I knew this set would be perfect but could not decide which word to use,  so I combined a bunch of the words to made a background paper.  I had some purple velum, so I clear embossed the words on the velum and layed the velum over some bazzel poka dot purple paper. I did take wome white pigment ink over the dots first, so they would stand out more.  I layed this on top of some light purple card stock with a slight edge showing.   I used the same light purple paper to make some tulips and a label for my sentiment.   I used the scallop edge die to make my own label.  I used the jar die and cut out some regular frosted velum, so that you can see the green stems of the tulips.   I used the scroll image from the new Paris stamp set for the imprint on my tulips, that I cut with last months tulip die cuts.  The Sympathy saying comes from a set also available at My Creative Time

St. Patty's With My Creative Time

Well when Emma came out with her most recent release, I thought I it was no big deal that she came out with more St. Patrick stamps,  I don't make cards with these themes.  But the more samples I saw  the more I decided I just had to have this new stamp.  I could not believe how quickly the mail came and I was able to play with this new set.  I made a card for my friend to mail to her grandaughters.
I made a A2 size card.  Used green card stock, white layering base with some St. Patrick Papers I believe I bought Hobby Lobby or Micheals.  The Burlap I was given in swap last year.   Then  I used the new stamp set from this stamp release  " Im a Lucky a Girl "   This set comes with the stamps, but also the dies with includes the hat and clover.  Then I used the  cat from a previous stamp, "Hipster Kitty",   then  I also used stitched ticket die, just tags die used ,  and fun edge die on the front and inside used tag die on the inside with more stamps on the inside.   Below are photos and a video with more details.

Birthday Cards with Eris and Little Blue Button

Well this is a little bitter sweet. This will be my last official post for Little Blue Button
Stamps.  But it wont be the last of me using Little Blue Button.  I absolutely adore these images and I am so grateful for the opportunity Olga gave me to be part of this great team.  These images are so cute and fun to color and create with.  I was ever so lucky to be around when she began her adventure with ERIS,  and just love this little girl and her friend is by far my FAVORITE!  I love to color him purple. ( I did manage to grab some blue this time though).  So it only seem fitting that this last post would include Eris images for some birthday cards I need for next month.
For my first Card I made an Easel Card 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 dark chocolate.  I placed a piece of corragated paper as a base and then used some DCWV Tattered Time paper for my pattern pieces.  I colored this beautiful image of Eris listening to some music.
Copic Colors used to color were:
Skin- E02, E01, E00
Hair-E44, E47, E49
Phono- N4, N8, N10, E34, E33, E39
My Next card  I used this adorable Princess Eris image.  In this light shades of blue and silver with lots of bling and sparkle this great shaker card emerged.   This is the first time I have made a shaker card and it was really fun.  I used DCWV Rustic Papers ment for Christmas but they work great for sparkly scenes also.  Used Spellbinders label eight die to cut out the shaped cuts.  My birthday stamp in both cards is from Stampin Up.

Copic Colors Used-
skin E11, E50, E00
Dress- B05, BG000,BG0000
Hair- T0, T2, metallic sharpies

Lovely Treats with Little Blue Button Stamps

This month is special for me because it is my wedding anniversary.  This month after seeing Sybil's card,  I knew exactly what image I was using Jessica Long Dress.  Sybil's card was such an inspiration,  I of course had to color mine up using purple and pinks, because that is my favorite colors.  This also gave me a chance to dig out my Prima Box and use up some of the goodies from the warehouse sale.  I used the love metal sign and lots of flowers to go around the fabric rosette (from a facebook friend).  Prima Paper pad,  sorry mention name in video. I of course had to have BLING!  I colored clear bling with my copic to match her dress.   The Anniversary Sentiment inside and out come from Stamps of Life.  I did use a spellbinder label set for layering my image on,  more details in the video on how I did the layers.

Copic colors used:
skin-e50, e51, e53
hair- e23, 3 e39
dress-rv04, rv09, rv19, rv66

My Second project is this special little tin I made to give my dtr for Valentines Day.   I used Sally with a heart,  Sally is such a precious image,  she was perfect to go on top of this tin.  I used my Recollection Paper and some doilies.  Of course I pulled out my dies from My creative time and a sentiment also.  I used the Ticket and Ticket layering dies,  scallop heart die,  stitched heart die xoxo die.  Sentiment comes from Puffy Hearts for You set.  Of course this being for my dtr who is all girly girl,  I pulled a couple felt flowers and some puffy felt heart out of my stash,  added alittle beading and made the most adorable little Tin, ready for my dtr to keep her precious keepsakes in after she eats the cookie that is.

Secret Valentine Bag Swap with My Style Stamps

Well I loved the idea of this secret Valentine bag Swap.  You decorated a lunch bag and filled it with goodies.  Nicole who is the owner of My Style Stamps is the hostess of this swap.  Of course I had to use one of her stamps on my bag.  I also used the same stamp for the card I sent with the swap.  I kept track of the colors I used and dang it I can't find the list now.  I am so cranky about it.  I loved how she had made curly hair on this image and I used 4 different colors to give her layers of curls to her hair.  I am combining 2 videos in this post for both my bag and my card also.  Hope you enjoy.  I used the new Recollections Valentine paper line that is from this year.  I used some buttons,  lace, bling and flowers from my stash.

Here is Nicole store where I got this great image.

Super Adorable Card with Secret Greeting Farm and Tatiana's Crochet Hearts

So I made this super cute card today using the Super Secret Image from Greeting Farm.  They did preorder sign ups for this in December for the first quarter.  It was only $28 shipped for 3 monthly stamps.  Can't beat that and she is so super adorable. This week on the Greeting Farm blog you needed to use bling.  Well that isn't hard for me to do that is for sure.    I colored her in greys and pinks and added some wink of stella to her bow and spica pen to the apple.   My friend Tatiana asked me if I wouldn't mind being on her design team and show case some of her crochet items.  well that was a no brainer,  i sure can't crochet well and her stuff is so darn adorable.  I have bought butterflies from her in the past and oh my she makes so much more than that. The hearts came in handy for this card and just perfect to make my card so "lovely".   This card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, and used paper from  imaginece I already had in my stash.  I of course added some bling to my  hearts and my lovely sign.  Inside lined some more paper, and used an Amy R stamp from Adoring You by CC design.  My copic Colors are as follows:
Hair: C3, C7,C 9
Flesh: E50, E51,E41, E53
Dress: R83, R37, spica lipstick, olive, black

Valentine Day Series #1 with Little Blue Button Stamps

For my first post this month with Little Blue Button Stamps I have made my husband's Valentine Day card. My Focus in this  6 x 6 easel card is RagDoll Sweetheart Stars Watching.  I used my favorite purples and pinks to make this card.   I have used paper, felt and wood vaneers and embossed.  There is all kinds of texture going on also.  The hearts, flowers, and label dies are felt cut from dies (My Creative Time)  I have nestled my beautiful Ragdoll inbetween a scallop oval and an oval spellbinder die.  I embossed the oval with a new valentine wood grain stamp from recollection that just came out this month at Michaels.   The paper used is some plain cardstock and some paper I bought last year at Big a Lots, (the name is in my video)   Couple wood vaneer hearts and leaves.    Happy Valentine is also from My Creative Time.

My Focus Image  RagDoll Sweetheart Stars Watching is colored with Copic colors  and I used:
Skin: E50, E51,E 53
Hair: E13, E15, E19
Boots/Gloves: N6, N8,N10 spica black
Dress: N6, N8, N10,  RV9, RV66, RV69

Randy  is the star of this card.  The moment I saw this image I thought of a coworker,  he is so cute and funny and adores his wife.  I knew this would make the perfect image to make a card for him to give to her this Valentine's Day.  She loved the surprise last year when he brought her a homemade card, so I am sure she is going to love this pop up card, from Sizzix.   Randy looks so cozy in his scarf and who wouldn't love that big bouquet of flowers he has brought.   I used alot of  of pinks and greys.  My fellow design team member Steph is quite the enabler,  because the moment I saw her video with the stamps from recollections I had to go to Micheals and buy a couple,   I really like these hearts and embossed them with some homemade pink embossing glitter powder.  I used some sizzix heart dies and some dollar bin flowers.  The trim  I think is recollections also.  The sentiments come from My Creative Time.   Randy is colored with my copics as follows.
Skin: E50, E51
Hair: Y00, Y08, YR24
Pants: B91, B93, B97
Shoes: B39, B45
Scarf: E09
Flowers RV91, RV95, spica pens- pink, mint, olive

Here is video with more details and closer look at supplies.   But I hope you will visit Little Blue Button Stamps,  because there are so many great images this month for Valentines, and so many other great uses also.

Baby Card # 1 with Greeting Farm

Well I am on a baby kick and here is number 1.  I just love this baby stamp that comes with a girl and boy from the Greeting Farm.  They are so easy to paper piece.  I used some paper from Micheals and Studio G.   I am participating in the Clean and Simple challenge over on the Greeting Farm blog this week and it is sometimes difficult for me to do that.  But I really like how this turned out.  I used a spellbinder die to cut a banner, along with the circle and scallop dies for the image. Stamp Set called All Star Baby  from My Creative Time on the outside and inside  and a few wood embellishments and the card was perfect.

Here is a video with a few more details.

Blistery Besty Birthday

This cute little Snowman is from Sherry Baldy and I thought he would be cute for a January Birthday card I needed to mail.  Besides I got some DCWV Rustic   on clearance but is very versatile  for winter and even non winter cards.  It has alot of wood grain papers in it.  I did this before I was keeping track of all my copic colors, but I know I was practicing using my B000 for the snowman.  My husband says I should use greys,  but I like the blues also, I think you could go either way.  I used some Studio Calico Snowflakes  and a little twine for a pop of color.  The Happy Birthday comes from Diana McRea,  I am going to clarify her website and I will update this.

Here is the site to Sherry Baldy:

Here is a video  talk a little more in detail about things.

Clean and Simple Challenge on Greeting Farm Blog

So here is my cutie I colored up after seeing the challenge this week on the Greeting Farm Blog.  Although Clean and Simple is very difficult for me to do.  Although I think I spent more time trying to come up with what to do than the time it took to do it.   Although it always seems to take along time, doesn't it.  This little Beanie Ian looks so warm and cozy in his little beanie drinking his coco.  I just love green and yellow together also.  I used some card bases I got in the dollar bin that were on clearance at micheals for my bases.  I also used some dies from the Greeting Farm for the greeing on the front and made the banners for the inside with a simple thinking of you on the inside.  Perfect card to send out this winter.   Made a quick video for a closer look.  Here are my copic colors.

Playing with Greeting Farm Girls

Dorthy Anya  is this cute little Kansas girl like me.  Ok,  she is much cuter than me!  She is this great image from Greeting Farm,  I have her in Digital,  but they have great Digital and Rubber images.  Dorthy and her Little Dog is the Star of this Show on this 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 in card.  I have layered her against a yellow brick road of course.  And being from Kansas she had to have some Sunflowers nearby.   I made these from some yellow velum paper and a punch accented with buttons.   Used a bow die (My Creative Time) to make a label for my Happy Birthday Sentiment.  Happy Birthday comes from  a Operation Write Home Set from Hero Arts. My red paper is from Bazzle and was already textured and was sprayed with some mist.  My beautiful little girl was colored with the following  Copic colors-
Skin: E000, E00, E01
Hair: E 11, E 13, E, 15, E17
Dress: B000, B23, spica baby blue
Dog: C1, C3, C5
white gel pen
Cheeky Fairy is this shy but beautiful little angle.   She comes with this Hot pink hair and teal dress.   Ready to fly about.  I used a Sizzix Trifold Card base to make this cute Birthday card.  Some Sizzix Heart Framelits also  and lots of bling to accent the teal papers against the pink cardstock.  This adorable girl is ready to fly around the town.   I also have her in digital format, so she can be sized any size I want.  Her Copic colors are:
Skin: E000, E00, E01
Hair: RV04, RV06, RV09, RV11
Clothes/Bow: BG13, BG15, BG49
Wing: BG11

I have a video showing more detail below,  but you are welcome to see these great digitals and other wonderful images at      Also there is a challenge going on there blog if you would like to play along at  the greeting farm blog:
