Lovely as a Tree Winter Cards

Here are the Cards we made in my Local Class for the Month of December.  Really Love how they turned out.  You could easily make into Christmas Cards or any occasion.
My first card using early espresso for the base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Folded to 4 1/4. Has gol glimmer at 4 x 5 1/4 then using crumb cake layer that is 3 3/4 x 5 you will stamp with the background stamp hardwood, when layering this on the glimmer you want to place your ribbon at the bottom first and then use tear away tape  or some people have said the fast fuse will work because very little tapes will stick well.   Then I stamped my tree on the  stitched circle which was applied to a glimmer scalloped circle.  This was popped up.  I used the white Reinker placed on a block that was watered down a little and a paint brush and flicked drops to look like snow on the card.  Then stamped on my banner I punched out for the sentiment.

Second card is on Whisper White base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Folded to 4 1/4. Has silver foil at 4 x 5 1/4.  Then white layer 3 3/4 x 5 has been run with Softly Falling embossing folder.  Layered on top, after applying silver ribbon to top.  Stamping the row of trees to small Sheet of Thick whisper whit 4 1/2 x 2 1/2.  Mask off the bottom of the trees from snow layer below and then begin sponging above the snow layer with blues, I used island indigo, navy blue, marina mist.  Remove mask and cut panels into thirds at 1 7/16.  Place on layer of silver foil 4 3/4 x 2 3/4.  Pop up on white embossed piece. Place sentiment if like.

First card is A2. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded in half at 4 1/4.  Champaign foil paper is gorgeous and perfect for the holidays, cut to 4 x 5 1/4.  Quilted DSP is cut first to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, place die with moon and stars at the top to die cut.    Then using Versa Mark  stamp saying on DSP. Cover with White embossing powder, shake off and heat with heat tool.   Then attach this piece on tp of champagne piece.    Cut 2 different slopes out whisper white piece that is 5 1/4 wide.  To represent snow slopes.  Attach trees and deer to the slopes to finish off the card.

Second card also very vanilla base A2 size as above.  This time the next layer is old olive 5 1/4 x 4  is embossed with Quilt Top Embossing Folder.  Next layers are Real Read 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 and quilted DSP 2 1/2 x 5 1/4.  Before attaching this to old olive take the Quilted ribbon and place across middle of the front of the DSP layer and tape each end to back sides real red.  Then attach layers to old olive and attach all to card base if not done so already.  Stamp sentiment on label with real red and place on front with dementionals.  I used white accents that I colored with old olive blend marker,  placed on each side of label.  Take another piece of ribbon and tie knot to side of label.   Completes card.

November Sweet Treats with Painted Harvest

November is upon us.  I am wanting to make Christmas cards but feel the need for Thanksgiving, so this month I am mixing it up.  One Christmas and one Thankful but both use this wonderful flower stamp.   This stamp resembles a sunflower, but can be used for so much more.  This month my Sweet Treat is using it as a Sunflower and a Christmas Wreath.  So for all those customers purchasing $25 or more using the hostess code (do not use code for purchase over $150) you will receive this packet as a gift from me along with a homemade thank you card.  Also the video below shows how I made the cards.

Christmas card is  Whisper White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card fold in half at 4 1/4.   Garden Green layer is 4 x 5 1/4, and was ran thru the embossing folder Softly Fallen.  Pattern Paper is Be Merry 3 x 5 1/4.   I stamped my wreath with Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green on Very Vanilla cardstock and fussy cut out. Bow is made out of Red Tinsle ribbon.   The reindeer and Merry Christmas sentiment inside are from the Merry Mistletoe.

Thankful card is from Very Vanilla  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 fold in half at 4 1/4. Lemon Lime layer is 4 x 5 1/4 and was ran thru leaf embossing folder.  Cajun Craze layer is 2 3/4 x 5 1/4, pattern paper 2 1/2.  Sunflower is stamped out on Very Vanilla with So Saffron  and Cajun Craze.  Leaves are stamped with Garden Green on Lemon Lime cardstock.   Banner is cut at 1 in and had cut end and stamped with Cajun Craze or any other color you choose.  Position Leaves where you choose.
Here is another Idea I cased from my fellow Team Member Randi,  to show you how versatile this stamp can be.

Birthday Delivery Birthday Card for Noah

Well this week I need a Birthday Card for my Grandson Noah who turns 3.  Of Course I had to use my favorite Birthday set from the annual Catalog Birthday Delivery.  The Wolf is my favorite stamp in this stamp he is so cute, so he will be the star of this tri fold Card.

This card starts out as a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Whisper White cardstock.   I scored the long side at 2 in, and 6 1/4.  Then choose the color you would like for your solid layering piece, large inside is 4 x 5 1/4, inside panels and outside panels are (one of each) 1 3/4 x 5 1/4 and 2 x 5 1/4.  (I choose different solid colors for this but you can change it up.  Lots of great colors in this suite to choose from.  Then the pattern pieces for the pattern you will need one of each inside and outside panels 1 1/2 x 5, and 1 3/4 x 5.    Then it comes to layering all the pieces together.  After doing these pieces you will cut out large scallop circle and regular circle.  I stamped out the wolfe and colored him with the markers.  you can stamp out the banner and stamp the sentiment or use the balloons. and place him in the circle.  I attached the circle on the left side, but only put glue on half the circle as to not glue the whole circle down because you want the card to open.  You are welcome to watch the video below.

Here are supplies used.  Store is open 24/7.

Spooky Cat Swapping this Month

I started my Swap 6 group back up this month.  If you can ever participate in swaps they are great!  This was a perfect swap for me because you swap 6 cards for 6 months by the 6th of the month.  Easy Peasy!   I love my team swaps but usually have to make 20-25 cards for that, and don't always feel the love for that.  But I can't rember which team mate it was, but it was on group page that I saw this card,  I varied up the papers, but I loved the idea.  I had to have this punch the moment I saw it, because my daughters nickname is Cat!   This punch will be great outside Halloween, I have seen some great designs colored, stamped, designer paper.  Ideas are really limitless.  But for now having fun with the Spooky Designer Series paper also and made this fun card and lots of Cats!

A2 sized card,  5 1/2 x 8 /12 folded at 4 1/4 of very vanilla. Layer a base of basic black 4 x 5 1/4.  Then build your layer of pumpkin pie 3 3/4 x 5 with 1 1/4  x 5 layer of dsp at the top and a 1 x 5 in that you will stamp with your sentiment, I used trick or treat and the mouse, but Happy Halloween is in the stamp set also.   I tucked this piece up under the dsp, so less than an inch is actually showing.   Then I took the crochet trim across the seam and wrapped securing behind the pumpkin pie.  Then you tape all this to the black.   Now I stamped the cat image from the stamp set on a vanilla card stock and punched it out then punched out 4 more cats from various dsp patterns.  The cat on the dsp will cut with the punch.   I fussy cut a hat from the dsp.  The glue the cats across the bottom, layering them slightly over each other.  Placing the hat on one of them, with a dementuonal.  Below is the video also.

Here will be the supplies used. And the store is always open 24/7.

Hi Everyone,
This year is just flying by,  September is upon us.  Which means gift giving season will be here quickly.  So for this months Sweet Treat instead of getting materials for 2 cards you are going to get one of the new pizza boxes from the Holiday Catalog.  Then you get card stock to make 5 -3 x 3 cards.  Supplies to layer and decorate the cards.  So this month after you place an order you need to messsage me and let me know if you want a specfic color or color family for your cards.  If you know what stamp your going to use and I have papers with that, I will add extras to in your kit.
My example uses the Oh So Electic stamp set,  I have uses Lemon Lime, Berry Blast, Pool Party as the card bases, along as the main colors for stamping and die cuts along with Powder Pink.   In the video below I show you the example I made with this set, and an example of what you would receive.

This Little Piggy Inspiration

When I went to Onstage in April, two sets stood out as my favorites.  You all have seen me use the Birthday Memories and now my other Favorite is This Little Piggy.   This is the cutest stamp set,  the pigs and sentiments will brighten anybody's day. I know you will love this set too!
I am using the new in colors primarily this time around with Foil Frenzy DSP and Floral DSP
This cared is on Fresh Fig 8.5 x 5.5 folded in half.  Lemon Lime Twist layer  is 5.25 x 4 and Whisper White layer is 5 1/8 x 3 7/8.   The Fresh Florals DSP paper is 2 1/2 x 3 7/8 tape down to the white and then the Fresh Fig Ribbon is wrapped around before securing to lime.  I cut out the watercolor paper for this little piggy with stitched framed dies.  I used the archival black to stamp out the piggy first and  powder pink ink pad to color piggy with aqua painter and markers to touch up the pig and grass.  After it has dried then I layers on Lemon Lime, I cut out just bigger than the square, but can use square layering dies that are available.  I popped up the piggy image and sentiment on dimensionals for pop!  I used classic label dies to cut out the sentiment. Added a square knot to the ribbon.

I just love this flying pig.  I just had to put her on this Berry Burst layer 5 1/4 x 4 against  Crumb Cake Card which is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded in half.  I used the Foil Frenzy 3 x 5 1/4.I cut out a large stitched framed circle, and then a large scallop from layering circles with crumb cake.   I stamped this piggy with archival black on shimmer paper and used the powder pink and aqua painter, not using as much water though lighter  hand.  I again used markers to touch up.   I added "so she did" to the bottom of the front to finish off the saying and make this card inspiring.   I popped it up with dimensionals, then added fine tip glue pen to the wings for extra pop!

See supplies below,  visit my link below 24/7 for any and don't forget to use hostess code to get these gems. (orders under $150, don't use code for orders above,  you get card kit get still plus a bonus!)

Christmas Gift Card Holders

For my continuing Christmas series I am making Gift Card Holders.   These are simple to make for Christmas or any gift giving occasion.  I gather my influence from Sandy Allnock.   I am using 3 different stamp sets here for inspiration.  I have an attached video to show you how I made this, plus the supply list for the this Holders below.
I start out with out with 4 1/2 x 11in paper.  Score the paper at 4 1/2, 5 1/2, 6 1/2.        Fold in half on the center score mark.  Find you a die to cut out out the section for your gift card.  I havr used the oval from the stitched framelits,  the square would work well to.  You can use label, or some other punches of you like.  Make sure to leave enough space at the bottom to put your tape, so don't place your die to low.   You can see this in the video.  You will place tape to secure the middle closed after its cut at the bottom, then fold the other two side closed to make card.  Then it's time to decorate from panel.  I used the tree and reindeer from Santa Sleigh, then filled in with gifts, bear and stockings.  I used the watercolor pencils to fill in some coloring.  I placed whisper white panels on the inside also and decorated the top panel with the wreaths.  The other two cards are made with Christmas Pines and Star of Night.  The supply list is below for all these cards.   Below is also a video of  Santa Sleigh card.  If you have any questions feel free to email me.

Camper Christmas with Stampin Up

Hi Everyone!!   Continuing the Christmas Spirit  this July,  I have a new card using a camper.  My parents went camping this week, so I felt inspired.   This set is in the Annual Catalog carried over from the last years Holiday Catalog.   It is a great set to use for the whole year.  It has sentiments for all season long.  Plus comes in handy for your favorite camper,  we know who that will be in my family, so guess who this card is going to?
Well getting to it.  This card is the typical A2 size card.  There is a video below for you to watch, and also a supply list below with a  to my stampin up link open 24/7 days week.   If you have any questions or would like a catalog  feel free to email me at
So keeping with Christmas Spirit we start with a piece of thick Whisper White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded in half 4 1/4,  it is easier to score this because it is so thick, but defiantly use your bone folder to get a good crease.   Then layer your Cherry cobbler which I used a thinner layer this time,  4 1/8 x 5 3/8. Then the Garden Green layer on top of this will be my typical 4 x 5 1/4 layer,  I really like that extra pop of color under the layer.   Now before I go placing our Flags on Ifind it easier to stamp our little Christmas tree and snow man in the lower left hand corner of the green corner.  Then you can punch your angles out of the pieces of designer paper that are cut 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, in wide, approx 4 in long.  These all are placed to the right of our stamp images in corner.  And our large camper image will be stamped on a piece of thick whisper white 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 paper, and  will be place over the top portion of the card.  I chose to color my image with watercolor pencils and used a blender pen to smooth out.  You can use the water pen, but you are better off with watercolor paper if you do that.  Also if you using watercolor paper you can using ink pap and water pen.  You can color with just markers.  Lastly I stamped out the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and punched out the the classic label punch and placed at bottom.   I hope you enjoy, this card.

Don't hesitate to ask questions or leave suggestions,  shop anytime!  Link good 24/7!

Chefy Birthday with Birthday Delivery

Happy Fathers Day!  Hope everyone is relaxing today, pampering your dads.  I am playing with one of my favorite sets today " Birthday Delivery". I just love the nostalgic nature of these images.   The paper line is fun and bright.  Although I am not using them today you can get the framlits for the stampset and the exciting thing about this set of framelits. They will cut out images in the paper also!

I have a video below for my card if you want to follow along.   Also the supply list below and the link directly to my Stampin Up .  If you have any questions feel free to ask!

I am using whisper white card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded at 4 1/4.   Crumb cake layer on top is 5 1/4 x 4.  Then striped layer is 3 3/4 x 5,  with smaller designer layer 3 3/4 x 2  1/4  toward the top.  My stamping is being done with Early Espresso ink.  I used largest stitched circle in crumb cake in which I stamped the chef on , and a scalloped circle from layering circles framelits in whisper white.   Now I used a chalk marker and colored in the hat and scarf on the chef, and some balloons on the designer paper, to accent things.  I stamped surprise at the bottom of my striped paper on the card, I added the circles to the card with dimensional.   Stamped happy birthday on the inside, and there I had it a finished card!

Nail It for Fathers Day

Well with Father's Day fast approaching I am working on some Fathers Day Cards and Treats for an upcoming Craft Show.   Really love the Nail It set I bought specifically for Father's Day.  So I am making the most of it.

Below will be a video tutorial for the card, but I wanted to include the picture above because I had put away the candy bar and had not realized it until the end of the video.

So the card is an A2 card.  Starts with a Vanilla base 8.5 x 5.5  folded in half.   paper comes from Urban Undergound Designer Series paper, you can check the retiring list to see if any still available. Bottom layer is 4 x 5.25,  with 2 x 5.25  smaller section to go along the bottom. I did use the framelits and   cut out the ruler to use as a border along the top edge.  I picked out various tools to place on the front.  You can fussy cut these if you are just now getting this set.  As I don't believe the framelits are available anymore.  But if you hurry you can still get the stamp set.  But you better hurry as it wont be available for long.

Feel Free to visit my site for any of the products below.

This months Sweet Treat Features JARS OF LOVE.  This is a lovely stamp set that is being carried over to the new catalog and is very versatile.  And what is great you can make shaker cards with the thinlits.  I have included in the sweet treat, but you are going to want to invest in this your self.  It is so much fun!!!    Now the sweet treat is using some dsp that was still available when I typed this but there is some great papers coming out, but trust me you want the paper that on sale too!!   I will link it below if I can.    Oh there is a bonus,  I went to Onstage in April and received a Special Upcoming Stamp and You will receive a Tag made by Me with this Cute Little Piggy On it!

Watermelon Wonder Shaker Card:   Base 8 1/2 x 5  1/2, fold in half at 4 1/4.  Secure window sheet to backside of designer paper. Glue the jar lid to the front of the designer paper.  Stamp the large jar onto window sheet from the front of the designer paper(3 3/4 x 5).  Make sure to use archival ink, and stamp gingerly, not to wiggle it can smudge easily.   Then you can pick any greeting that fits in the jar, I used Hello.  I carefully lined up this layer to the white layer(4 x 5 1/4) to see where I could stamp the fish, if you need to place a dot or something in pencil you can or eyeball it.  Then when you know all the black ink is dry place foam strips on the back of the designer paper.  Place your sequins on the white base.  Then attach your designer paper.  Wrap the ribbon around the bottom and tie a bow in he front.  Then attach this to the card base.

Mint Maccaroon Card: Base 8 1/2 x 5  1/2, fold in half at 4 1/4.  Layer designer paper to card base 5 1/4 x 4. Attach white strip at bottom, (5 x 1 1/2) then layer designer strip on top of white paper, (4 3/4 x 1 1/4).  Stamp medium jar stamp to jar cut out, I used smokey slate ink, then attached it to card.  I stamped leaf stems to jar.  Then I picked the colors I wanted for flower blooms, stamp off first for the solid image then the die cut to get a lighter color, then stamp the accent pieces without stamping it off.  Then Pick a greeting for the banner, I used watermelon wonder for the cardstock , so I used the same ink to stamp in. also to stamp the bow to further accent the bow.  I also used a marker to add more to the jar like the ribbon was going around the jar. This completes the second Jar.

Watch the video Below if you would like to see info about the Piggy Tag!!!

I hope you like the 2 cards I made and will take advantage of the wonder products on sale for the rest of month,  You will Love the new Catalog.  If your interested in one,  make sure to email me or visit my site.

They say time flies.  Really seems like it when it smacks you in the face.  I cant believe my husband and I have been married for 20 years.  We met on a blind date,  I told him it was the last blind date he would ever go on, and it was.   We have raised 3 great kids and have 2 grandboys, so life has been really good to us.  He is a photographer, so he isn't minding the up coming trips I told him I want to take to the Stampin Up conventions planned for Minneapolis in April and then the Big One in November to Salt Lake.  We currently live in Kansas so he looks forward to change of scenerory, and National Parks along the way.  My anniversary card might be a touch feminine, but he doesn't mind.  He actually likes flowers so it works.  I really like the colors peach and pear together, they are so soft.  You can layer the flowers in this set also.  I just bought the dazzling diamonds glitter paper, oh my it is a must have!  It just shines, my daughter just fell in love with it too.    So I hope you will enjoy the video and details below.

Swapping with Inside the Lines

So I have found one of the GREAT things about joining Stampin Up in the community of people.  I have a wonderful team, that I am a part of.  But also Stampin Up themselves has forums for outreach to talk to each other for help, socialization, friendship.  So I joined in one of the groups for a swap, It was so easy all we had to do was make 6 cards to mail by the 6th of the month for 6 months.  I thought I can do this.  I had seen something similar to this design on Pinterest with the Inside the Lines paper where you cut out the circle and only color the circle, not to time consuming because you don't color all the paper.  The person and placed a slightly larger circle as a shadow around it.  But I wanted to change it up.  I really like the Falling flower bundle and love that large detailed flower and thought it would be perfect because you can still see threw most of it.  I love the leaf spray going up the side too.  So I realize Im probably biased but really was happy with the turn out.  Hope you all are too.  Here is the video below.  And all the supplies also.   Don't forget the store.

Avent Garden & So Very Much

Sale a Bration Time is such a Great Time for buying with Stampin up.  And these two sets are the perfect example why.   This Card uses two of the stamp  sets you can choose from when you purchase $50 or more from any Stampin Up purchase.  This can be the new Occasion Catalog, Annual or even Clearance section.     I love the color Mint Macaroon and Watermelon Wonder together.  I embossed, did some watercoloring with this, and some dimentials and ribbon really bring the card together.  It was lots of fun, and great for that moment when you need to say Thanks.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial below,  products and link to store below also.
